http://issuu.com/hannabeprakash/docs/mtech?mode=window&viewMode=singlePageThe regular course for 2012 admissions has been completed with exceeding number of applications for the course and the students thus selected with MSc(all such branches with all but last semester being appended with a lab) and all branches for B.E (direct entry for GATE qualified students ,rest all must cumpulsorily take up entrance at the department on 30/july/2012) will be decided henceforth as entrants for fellowship awardees after the admission is completed.The entrance is for all MSc students and non-GATE qualified B.E students.It is followed by Interview.The last date for stipend applicants to submit applications was closed on july 15,2012
Entrance for industrially sponsored students is different.But the same syllabus holds for both the stipend/fellowship entrants and industry sponsored fellowship entrants which is thorough +1 and +2 syllabus and knowledge of global current affairs in general and science in particular covering physics,chemistry,mathematics,biology and some special topics of engineering interest.
The fellowship sponsored students get:
1)Rs. 5000/- per month stipend for 2 years
2)Rs.25000/- per year as contingency (first year department will purchase laptop with some additional money from student for laptop of student's choice and second year money will be dedicated to recover project expenses if student does project with purchased equipments)
The students will be paying Fees of the University for maintaining expenses as suggested by DST and the University.This will be borne by the student belonging to both industrially sponsored and fellowship entrants.The industrially sponsored students will only pay the recommended fees and bear their expenses just like any other master degree student and work out along the terms of the programme devoid of the above benefits.Hostels with mess are available for both girls and boys ,seperated from each other by 1 km inside the campus.Both industrially sponsored students as well as fellowship entrants are eligible to apply for the Hostels.Upon availablity on a first come first serve basis,hostels will be rewarded to students.
The industrially sponsored students must be from such industry which can offer projects in their final year,final semester that meet subjects under the broad classification of Nano-Technology which are as follows:

The Industrially sponsored student need not be an employee but rather their parents or kith and kin be enterpreneurs sponsoring the student on behalf of the Industry.He could rather be an exceeding-performer employee as well, sent on a mission to update the industry from knowledge of this one of a kind specialization in Nano technology. The Student must be well equipped with knowledge of cutting edge technology in the industry which has sponsored him.Preference will be given to such students who have experience in the Industry or are significant share holder or a partner in a joint venture.The fees will be the same as applicable to fellowship entrants.We expect that the industry will uptake the student and benefit from nano regime research outputs from which standards can be established for existing technology aided with nanotechnology.GATE qualified student as well as industrially sponsored will get direct entry without entrance test.
All the applicants whether attended entrance test or are GATE qualified will have to take Interview.
The admission will take place right after entrance on the same day-30/july/2012.Students should be present sharp at 10:00 am at Department of Nano Science and Technology,Kuvempu University,Shankaraghatta,Bhadravathi Taluq,Shimoga-577451.
Fee reimbursement for SC/ST and OBC with income certificates will be done after the fees is completely paid.Enquire the SC/ST cell of Kuvempu university after the admission process is completed.you need not pay all the fees at the time of admission.A minimum of one-fourth the total fees can be paid during admission .
